Senator Dianne Feinstein admitted on CNN this morning that, like James Comey, she too would have felt “queasy” by Loretta Lynch wanting to refer to the Hillary Clinton email investigation as a “matter.”
That was one of the biggest non-Trump moments from Comey’s hearing, in which the former FBI director talked about the Clinton email investigation and the word Lynch “directed” him to use. He admitted he felt “queasy” about the whole thing.
CNN’s Brianna Keilar asked Feinstein this morning if the former Attorney General was “giving cover to the Clinton campaign.”
“I can’t answer that,” Feinstein responded. “I would have a queasy feeling too, though, to be candid with you. I think we need to know more about that.”
She said the Senate Judiciary Committee should look into that, um, matter, but she also jumped back to talking about the seriousness of the Russia investigation and what President Trump told Comey in their private conversations.
