As Hillary Clinton‘s book tour continues, the former Democratic presidential candidate continues to make her frustrations with James Comey clear.
In her PBS Newshour interview today, Judy Woodruff brought up Comey and said he was put in the position he was put in because of her husband and Loretta Lynch‘s infamous tarmac meeting.
“To what extent,” Woodruff asked, “did Loretta Lynch and President Clinton make a costly mistake?”
Clinton dismissed the premise, citing the chain of command, though she did admit “the optics were not good” on that meeting.
But she went on to say “what [Comey] did against the advice of people around him in the FBI and the Justice Department was in large measure due to political pressures that he was under from people that he had worked with before.”
Woodruff circled back to the tarmac meeting again, but Clinton again said she doesn’t buy it.
