Attorney General Loretta Lynch delivered some remarks today on the recent shooting of law enforcement officers and others all across the nation. From Charleston to Chattanooga to the WDBJ reporters to the Illinois cop this week, Lynch said this violence is too much and needs to stop.
She strongly condemned the “brutal police shootings” of law enforcement officers in Texas and Illinois, and said, “I ask that all of us come together and keep them in our prayers.”
Lynch praised law enforcement officers for doing the most “dangerous and important jobs.” She lamented how “no one is safe” and declared, “This violence against all of us, regardless of what uniform any of us wear, has to end.”
